Burning Down The Dothraki House

‚Game of Thrones‘ 6.4

„Don’t you want to know what I think? You are small men.“

Daenerys Targaryen (Emilia Clarke)

„You crazy cunt.“

Khal Moro (Joe Naufahu)

„Did you really think we would serve you?“

Khal Moro

„You’re not going to serve. You’re going to die.“

Daenerys Targaryen

„Have you ever seen what a horse does to a woman?“

Extract from the humiliating talk in ‚Book of the Stranger‘ (6.4):

Daenerys Targaryen

And here, now, what great matters do the Great Khals discuss? Which little villages you’ll raid, how many girls you’ll get to fuck, how many horses you’ll demand in tribute. You are small men. Under you, the Dothraki will be a small people. None of you is fit to lead them. But I am. So I will.

Khal Moro

All right. No Dosh Khaleen for you. Your choice. Instead, we’ll take turns fucking you. And then we’ll let our bloodriders fuck you. And if there’s anything left of you, we’ll give our horses a turn. Have you ever seen what a horse does to a woman? This is a thing you should see before you die. And you will. Right before you die. You crazy cunt. Did you really think we would serve you?

Daenerys Targaryen

You’re not going to serve. You’re going to die.

Game of Thrones’ Women Are Finally Taking Over

Extract from time.com

„And then of course there’s Daenerys with a repeat performance of her “girl on fire” magic trick. Daario and Jorah try to play knights in shining armor and save the queen. Her response might be boiled down to: That’s cute, but I have a better idea; I’m going to murder all these jerks and take their subjects for myself. And so she does, smiling when they threaten her with rape and then burning them alive. She emerges from the fire unscathed (albeit naked — this is HBO still) and with new band of followers.

That’s a lot of female badassery — and we didn’t even get to see Arya practice her new Jedi moves!

If it feels like Thrones is overcompensating with plenty of strong women telling crying men to suck it up, that’s because the show has endured five years of criticism for the way it treats women. Compared to their male counterparts, the women have been relatively impotent: Last season, Sansa, Cersei and Margaery all sat imprisoned while the fighting feminists — Arya, Brienne, the Red Woman and even Cersei were rendered powerless to do their jobs due to their own mistakes or forces of fate.

What’s more, every major female character has been sexually assaulted or threatened with sexual assault.“
